Samsung’s New Smartphone Camera Will Have Extra-Stable Sensor

Optical image stabilization on the current smartphone camera’s most of the time need a steady hand to avoid blurry pictures. Considering this Samsung has developed a new 13 Megapixel camera module with an optical anti-shake function for its upcoming smartphones.
The difference in the new module is that its anti-shake function can correct an angular error of up to 1.5 degrees, which means that the module has a better image stabilization than on the previous generation of smartphone cameras. The new module has a low power consumption, the company said. The dimensions of the module are 10.5 x 10.5 x 5.9 mm, which are equivalent to those of the company’s existing camera modules for smartphones.
Samsung claims that this new camera will give big results, as the camera takes low light shots that are eight times brighter than its predecessor. The mass production will start in the first quarter of 2014.
