
The UMI X2S was dised at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair which ended on Wednesday. The device is the sequel to the UMI X2. The manufacturer traditionally uses MediaTek silicon which is usually priced lower than processors made by other firms, like Qualcomm. The UMI X2S features a 5 inch screen with 1080 x 1920 resolution and is equipped with a 1.5GHz MT6592 octa-core processor under the hood. 2GB of RAM is on board along with 32GB of native storage. The 13MP snapper on back features a Sony made lens and the model supports NFC.
The price of the UMI X2S ranges from RMB 1,499 ($245 USD) to RMB 1,999 ($327 USD). No launch date was announced.
