Spech update 2 now available in wp store now

Speech Continues To Improve

We’ve previously covered Speech, the Windows Phone speech recognition app that integrates with the Windows Phone OS, a few days back. In that article, we warned that the 1.2 update was on the horizon featuring Accent Color support, Reminders, Notification Center, a new home screen, and bug fixes.

This update is available for download starting today. You can download the app now from the Windows Phone Store located here.

The app is designed for use in the United States with English. If you are in another country, support will come to you next weekend (In update 3) if you speak Spanish or English in another country such as Australia or the UK.

The Future and Update 1.3

With the 1.2 update published, and downloads growing, we are continuing to expand our resources and release feature-packed updates even faster. That is why we are announcing Speech Update 3 exclusively on WMPoweruser.

Speech Update 3, the biggest update to speech yet, will feature an extensive list of changes and updates – specifically to anyone in a foreign county. As of the Update 3 rollout, we are planning to support any country that speaks English or Spanish. No more is the app exclusive to the United States.

In other changes, Update 3 is going to support a vast array of features for anyone in any country.

These changes include:

Proper Playlist Logic
Previous/Next Song controls fixed
Proper scaling and accent color rendering
Timer Support
Now supports all forms of the English language
[Possible] Name Changer
Open command list from the app’s homescreen
[Possible] Calculator
Flatter homescreen UI
Proper orientation of speech bubbles
Notification Type now shown in notification center
Minor bugfixes
As a sidenote, this update is planned to be released to certification next weekend. This may be longer or shorter depending on store certification problems.
