A collection of new concept
images for the Microsoft Surface Phone 2 smartphone have surfaced
online. Microsoft has been rumoured to be working on the smartphone for
quite some time now and the Surface 2 tablet, which came out recently,
has inspired the new designs. The casing of the concept designs is quite
similar to the Surface 2 tablet device. | |
Microsoft has been rumoured to be preparing to
launch the Surface Phone 2 for quite some time now but it hasn’t
happened yet. Speculations are rife that after acquiring Nokia, the
Redmond-based technology giant will now be in a position to launch the
device. The concept images were seen on the phone’s designer’s Facebook
page and Microsoft has made no official statement on the devices.
According
to the designer, the phone is only 7-mm thin and has an 11.9-cm
(4.7-inch) full HD screen, which offers 1080 pixel resolution. Further,
the concept device has the micro-USB port on the bottom of the device,
while the 3.5-mm jack and the power button are on the top, similar to
the HTC One. In addition, following most smartphones, the volume control
buttons are on the side of the device along with a dedicated button for
the camera.
The camera itself and the flash are on the back of
the device. The back is further adorned with the Surface logo. If
launched, the phone should feature the Windows 8.1 operating system.
